Penn Wood v. Academy Park Postponed

Lansdowne, PA – The Penn Wood Patriots game scheduled for tomorrow, Oct. 21st, against the Academy Park Knights has been postponed. Principal Stephen Chicano announced the decision in an email to the school community, citing “…an abundance of caution and everyone’s safety.”

The postponement is disappointing to many, especially the seniors who were looking forward to their Senior Day celebration and recognition.

The new date for the game has yet to be announced. However, the school district is working with Academy Park to reschedule the game as soon as possible.

In the meantime, both teams will continue to prepare for their next game. The Patriots are scheduled to play away against the Interboro Buccaneers on Saturday, Oct. 27th. While the Knights will host the Chester Clippers on Oct. 27th.
