For the 2nd year in a row these two teams will meet to determine who advances to the state semifinals. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00pm at Norristown HS which is about as neutral of a site as you can get for both of these schools. Offensively these teams are almost identical, defensively PJP seems to have more of a pass rush than Bonner but also what must be taken into account is that Bonner played the top 6A teams in the state in SJ Prep & La Salle in league play as well as Roman Catholic (5A).

Outlook: PJP uses a fairly balanced offense with many players playing both sides of the ball which shows how athletic they are as a team. This game serves as a rematch as they played last year in the opening round and Bonner advanced with a 19-13 victory. Last week PJP won their first ever state playoff game in school history last week over Valley View.
About Bonner-Prendie:

Sr. DL Khalil Holley: 61 tackles, 5 sacks
Jr. DL CJ Amobi: 55 tackles, 7.5 sacks & 20 tackles for loss
Outlook: Both teams are quite familiar with one another and there is no love lost between two proud programs. Neither team has captured a state championship yet and both realize a state title game is within reach with a victory Friday evening. Both teams have the fire power to pass and run the ball. The weather for the game looks to be wet, windy & cold which means this game could come down to PAT’s. Bonner K Isaiah Smith has gone 38/41 on PAT’s and 2/2 on field goals with his makes coming from 22 and 34 yards respectively. PJP kicker Sam Simonic has gone 50/57 on PAT’s while making his lone field goal attempt.
