In a battle of the number one and number two teams in District 10 1A, the Reynolds Raiders pulled ahead from the West Middlesex Big Reds with a 36-14 win. The scoring opened up with an exciting 84-yard touchdown run by Dreyvin Livingston to put the Raiders up 7-0. West Middlesex responded when Ty Tate found Chris Smith for a 27-yard touchdown. Reynolds’ Aidan Mull would respond with a shifty 33-yard touchdown run to go up 14-7. Cole Toy would add to the lead by scoring from two yards out to put the Raiders up 22-7 at the end of the first quarter.
It took the Big Reds eighteen seconds to score in the second quarter, when Colby Johnson broke off a 68-yard touchdown run to bring the score to 22-14. That would be the only score of the third quarter. Toy would answer the call again in the fourth quarter pushing the Raiders lead to 36-14 which would end up being the final score. The win clinches at least a share of the Region One title for the Raiders. Reynolds will play at Mercer next Friday. West Middlesex will play their final home game of the season against Kennedy Catholic on Friday night.
