Schuylkill Haven dominated Shenandoah Valley in a 77-0 victory as they celebrated 100 Years of Hurricane Football at Rotary Field. Leyden Hertz led the way with three touchdowns, while Niko Carestia, Colton Reber, Niko Castillo, and Adam Balulis added two scores each.

The Hurricanes scored 16 points in the first 28 seconds of the game, starting with Carestia taking the ball 80 yards for a first-possession touchdown. Hertz followed up with back-to-back touchdowns; an interception from 21 yards out and an 83-yard run. Reber found the endzone soon after and Castillo finished the quarter with a score, putting the Hurricanes up 38-0. Brian Moran, Chase Williams, Wyatt Keefer, and Ethan Kline led the Hurricane line on both sides of the ball, keeping the Devils scoreless.

Carestia opened up the second quarter with a 14-yard touchdown, Hunter Correll making the extra point. Correll was 3/4 as a first-year kicker, and the Hurricanes were 4/5 with two-point conversion attempts. Balulis added to the score with back-to-back touchdowns of his own. Hertz snagged another interception for a score, and Castillo scored his second touchdown of the night before halftime. The score after the first half was an astounding 71-0.

The Hurricanes scored one touchdown in the second half, Reber scoring from 45 yards out. Logan Goad and Jack Krammes led the younger group of Hurricanes that took the field, holding off the Devils from any chance of scoring.

Coach Mike Farr and his Hurricanes will travel to Mahanoy Area to face the Golden Bears. Dave Bench and his Blue Devils face off against Marian Catholic.
