Scott Dennis was appointed on Thursday night as head coach of the Nanticoke Trojans. Dennis replaces Ron Bruza who resigned in November. The Trojans finished last season 7-5, losing to State Finalist Dallas in the District Semifinals. Dennis served as an assistant coach under Bruza the past two seasons and has also served as head coach for Holy Redeemer and Central Columbia. He’s been an assistant under Paul Marranca and George Curry.
Dennis was grateful for coach Bruza for giving him the opportunity to come to Nanticoke two years ago. “It made my job alot more fun” He said. Despite losing several key seniors from last season’s team, Dennis doesn’t believe the cupboard’s bare. “We have an opportunity that was built in by coach Bruza and the seniors with hard work and determination.”
