Six District Nine Players Land on the 2023 PFN Coaches-Select Class 2A All-State Team Led by Central Clarion’s Five, Clearfield Places One On the 3A Squad

Central Clarion put five of its players on the 2A football team selected by the coaches, three of them making first team all-state.  Jimmy Kerr, who dominated on the offensive line, was named first team at his offensive tackle position.  Thomas Ukert was named to the first team as the kicker.  Ukert made 85 extra points in 2023 which was #1 in PA and 22nd nationally according to MaxPreps.  Jase Ferguson, Central Clarion’s phenomenal QB, was the third Central Clarion first team member.  He was named to the offensive athlete position.

Two other Wildcats were named to the second team.  They were Mason Burford at cornerback and Brady Quinn as the defensive athlete.  The sixth D-9 player named to all-state status was Brookville’s Jack Pete.  He was the second team kick and punt returner.

Clearfield’s Carter Freeland was selected as the first team defensive athlete on the 3A Coaches-Select PFN All-State team.  He was the only D-9 player named.
