Relying heavily on the talents of quarterback, Ashton Walk, running back, Seth Hoover, and receiver, Eli Woomer, Tyrone overpowered Penns Valley 82-26 at the Rams home field in Spring Mills.
With the win, Tyrone raised their record to 5-4, while Penns Valley dropped to 0-9 with the loss. The Rams must win against an opponent that has yet to be determined to avoid their first winless campaign since 1960.

After forcing a quick three and out on the Rams opening possession, Tyrone took possession of the ball on their own 20-yard line with 10:17 remaining in the opening quarter. It took only six plays before Seth Hoover powered in from the one-yard line to give Tyrone a 7-0 lead, following the extra point.

Penns Valley would quickly respond. After taking possession on their own 39-yard line, Colby Miller connected on three straight passes to Fletcher Ironside to move the Rams inside the Tyrone 10-yard line. After three runs by Kolton Shawver set the Rams up on the one-yard line, Miller snuck it in on fourth down to make the score 7-6; the extra point was blocked.

On Tyrone’s next possession, Hoover would race 61-yards for a touchdown to give the Eagles a14-6 lead, following the extra point.
Miller and Ironside would connect on two passes totaling 42-yards to move the ball to the Tyrone 31-yard line as the first quarter ended.

On the first play of the second quarter, Miller hit tight end, Richard Wasson down the middle of the field for a 31-yard score. Miller would then connect with Ironside for a successful two-point conversion to tie the score at 14-14 with 11:53 remaining in the second quarter. It was all Tyrone from there. Ashton Walk would score on a 10-yard keeper to give Tyrone a 20-14 lead, the Eagles missed the extra point. Tyrone would force a quick three and out, and a few plays later, Walk would connect with Woomer for a 58-yard score, moving their lead to 27-14, following the extra point.

Less than four minutes later, Walk would find Trent Adams for a 57-yard touchdown pass to move the lead to 34-14 with 3:59 remaining in the half.
Tyrone would force another quick three and out before blocking the Penns Valley punt and taking over on the Rams 29-yard line. On third and eight, Walk would scramble out of the pocket and connect with Gayge Miller for a 27-yard touchdown to give the Eagles a 41-14 lead with 2:02 remaining in the half.

After forcing another punt, Tyrone would get the ball with 1:05 remaining in the half. They would move the ball quickly down the field and with twenty-five seconds remaining in the half, Walk connected with with Woomer for a 25-yard touchdown, making the score 48-14 at halftime.

Penns Valley would force a turnover on downs on Tyrone’s first possession of the second half.

The Rams would take over on Tyrone’s 43-yard line. A 20-yard run by Chase Shelley and a pass interference call moved the ball to the Eagle 12-yard line. On third down, Shelley powered in from the six and the Rams had cut the lead to 48-20, after the two-point conversion failed. That would be as close as the Rams would get.

Tyrone would extend the lead to 55-20 on a Hoover 4-yard touchdown run. On the first play of the next Ram possession, Kaden Ansman intercepted a pass that was deflected at the line of scrimmage and returned it 44-yards for a Tyrone touchdown and the Eagle led 62-20.

Penns Valley would score a few minutes later on a 40-yard touchdown run by Kolton Shawver, the extra point was missed and Penns Valley now trailed 62-26. On the ensuing kickoff, Caleb Whitby would return it 85-yards for a touchdown to give Tyrone a 68-26 lead, following the extra point.

On the first play of the next Ram possession, Miller would fumble, and Cain Hockenberry would pick it up and rumble 42-yards for a touchdown, extending the Tyrone lead to 75-26.
In the fourth quarter Tyrone would tack on another touchdown when sophomore running back, Isaih Sahoney raced 53-yards for a touchdown, setting the final score at 82-26.
