Top Games of the Week:

 1. St. Joseph’s Prep v Our Lady of Good Counsel (Friday @ 7pm): Prep will be rested following their bye week heading into this matchup. The offense is run by So. QB Charlie Foulke who figures to have a key role in this game as the field general. He will have at his disposal All-State RB Isaiah West (Ohio State) to lean on when he’s not tossing the ball around to a talented group of WR’s in Rahmir Hardy (Temple), Fr. WR Jett Harrison & Sr. WR Alijah Turner. Defensively they’re led by Sr. LB Anthony Sacca (Notre Dame), Sr. LB Cam Smith (Penn State) and Jr. DL Alex Haskell. For Our Lady of Good Counsel, they’re led by 4-star Sr. S Faheem Delane (Ohio State), WR Damarion Fowlkes (Pittsburgh), Sr. DL Delano Brown (Coastal Carolina), Jr. QB Drew Williams & Sr. OT Eidan Buchanan (West Virginia).

2. DeMatha Catholic @ Roman Catholic (Friday 7pm): In a non-league matchup undefeated Roman Catholic will host Maryland powerhouse program DeMatha Catholic who sits at 1-1 on the season. DeMatha is led by Sr. LB Noah Chambers (Virginia Tech), Sr. WR Lavar Keys (Penn State), Sr. WR Emmanuel Dyson (Marshall), Sr. QB Denzel Gardner (Marshall) & Sr. LB Jermaine Minnis (Ohio). Roman is led by dynamic Jr. QB Samaj Beals who has thrown for over 900 yards this season to go with 14 touchdowns (Holds over 10 Power 4 offers including Alabama), Jr. WR Eyan Stead (277 yards & 5 TDs), Sr. WR Rayshawn Scott (234 yards & 4 TDs).

3.George Washington @ West Philadelphia (Saturday @1pm): GW enters the game at 3-1 riding a 3-game winning streak and look to take the next step towards winning the division title. Led by Patrick Wright, Jamar Coleman, Jakai Stevenson & Martin Gorstkiy the Eagles have a talented group of players. West Philadelphia is sitting at 1-3 however 2 of those losses came to Chester (#3 ranked 5A team) and Manheim Central. West is led by Sr. RB Zahfir Cleveland, OL Justin Brown, Sr. DL Amin Winston, Sr. LB Saire Bailey-Marks and Sr. DE Sa’iyd Harper Hines.

4. Simon Gratz @ Northeast (Saturday @1pm): The Simon Gratz Bulldogs are the lone unbeaten Public League team as they hold a 4-0 record with wins over Mastery Charter North, Archbishop Carroll & Executive Education Academy. Led by RB Tray Parsons, WR De’Shawn Terell, DL Quamir Jones & DB Keair Ingram. Northeast is currently 2-2 with wins over Boys Latin & West Catholic. Their losses were to Germantown Academy & Easton over the last two weeks. This game will be highly entertaining as Gratz has a high-flying offense while Northeast has shown they can score in bunches as well as they held their own against Germantown Academy which will be in the heat of the Inter-Ac run this year. Look for a one score game between these two programs.

5. Abraham Lincoln @ Imhotep Charter (Saturday @7pm Germantown Supersite): Lincoln is currently 1-3 with their win coming over Germantown Academy. Last season when these teams met Lincoln surprised Tep with their own stout defense and kept the game close deep into the 4th quarter before falling 26-14. Tep is now a 6A program and currently the #4 ranked 6A team in the state. They took their first loss of the season last week against nationally ranked (#66) East St. Louis HS 35-14. Look for Tep to get back on track and continue their march towards the D12 6A title game against the CL champion.

6. Haverford School @ Bonner-Prendie: Haverford School enters this contest at 2-1 coming off a loss to La Salle College looking to bounce back and get a key non-league win. Bonner is 2-0 entering this game looking to earn a statement win before beginning CL Red Division play. Bonner has a high-profile offense led by Jr. QB Noah Campbell.
