On Wednesday afternoon, West Chester East QB Logan Cummings gave his verbal commitment to Towson University.

In his Jr season, Cummings completed 60 percent of his passes for 1863 yards and 23 total touchdowns and led the Vikings to a 6-5 record and an appearance in the District 1 5A Playoffs.

Towson was one of seven teams to offer him, joining Western Illinois, Georgetown, Rhode Island, Maine, Stonehill, and Fordham, while also gaining interest from FBS programs such as Temple, Syracuse, and UAB

When asked about what drew and ultimately led him to choose Towson, Cummings said, “The coaching staff!! Coach Neugs and the other coaches have been so great. I loved the campus and all the facilities.”

With his commitment, Cummings is excited and turning his focus to his senior season, saying, “It feels great to now focus on senior year, I mean it is a true blessing to have this attention, and I’m so happy for what has happened. I’m excited to get in the weight room and onto the field with my guys this year.

Cummings and the Vikings open the season on August 28 when they travel to Conestoga.
