What the heck’s happening in District’s I & XII this week: Week 3,2022

Hello and welcome to Week 3 of What’s happening in District I & XII! Let’s look at what happened last week weekend and look ahead to this weekend.

At halftime of their game vs Perkiomen Valley, Cheltenham Head Coach Troy Gore and Brian Cherry presented PV’s Head Coach Rob Heist, Michael Poruban and Yanni Tsitoukis with a line of duty death memorial plaque for Fallen Pennsylvania State Police Troopers Branden Sisca and Martin Mack III who were killed in an accident on March 21.  Sisca is alumnus of Perkiomen Valley

Lansdale Catholic Improves to 3-0

With their 42-6 victory over New Hope Solebury, Lansdale Catholic is off to their best start under Head Coach Dominic D’Addona at 3-0. The last time the Crusaders started a season at 3-0 was 2015. The 2015 team finished the season 8-3.

Streak Over

On Friday night the Pottstown Trojans done something they haven’t done since October of 2019 and that’s win a game. The Trojans took down Harriton 20-14 for the first career victory of coach Levert Hughes career at Pottstown

Patriot’s Shine in First Home Game under the lights

Last Friday night was the first home game at CB East’s 1st Lt. Colby Umbrell Field at Patriot Stadium and Ethan Shine was the bright spot for the Patriots. All the back did was rushed for 268-yards and 4 touchdowns in the Patriots 30-13 victory over Souderton

First Career Victory for Pennridge’s Burgy

With a convincing 35-0 convincing victory over the visit Bensalem Owls the Pennridge Rams got first year head coach Chuck Burgy his first career win.

No Air

In their 25-0 victory over visiting Conestoga the Strath Haven Panthers ran a total of 60 plays all of which was on the ground. In total the Panthers amassed a total of 353 yards led by Anthony Crawford’s 195-yards on 28 carries.

Huge Game for Episcopal Academy’s Rome

In their 42-7 victory over Cardinal O’Hara Episcopal Academy’s Na’Rome Rayborn accounded for five total touchdowns in 4 passing.

Date Change for Coatesville-Penn Wood

The game scheduled for this Friday between Coatesville and Penn Wood will now be played this Saturday September 17 at 2:30 pm at Kerr Field.

Willie’s Big Games of the Week

Battle of unbeatens in the Central Bucks School District CB East at CB South Friday 7 pm

Two teams with hopes of winning the Chest Mont American: West Chester Rustin at Kennett Friday 7 pm

Two of the favorites to walk away with the Central League title: Ridley at Garnet Valley Friday 7 pm

Two teams with a solid run game and potential to make noise in 5A District 1 Playoffs square off Springfield Delco at Strath Haven Friday 7pm

Records don’t matter when these two teams meet up: Neshaminy at North Penn Friday 7 pm

Another week another tough battle between Districts 1 and 3: Manheim Township at Spring-Ford 7 pm

The number 2 ranked team in 5A battles the 10th ranked team in 5A: Imhotep at Malvern Prep Friday 7 pm.

Two of the three Delaware County Catholic League Schools: Archbishop Carroll at Monsignor Bonner Friday 7 pm

An Interesting District 1 vs District 12 Battle: Roman Catholic at Perkiomen Valley Friday 7 pm

Two teams with Del Val League Championship hopes: Chester at Interboro Saturday 11 am
