Inter AC League Play Opens open up

Back-to-back Non-League Action for Haverford High School

Last week and this week the Haverford High School Fords have taken a break from the Central League schedule and have been able to play non-league games. Last week the Fords fell to Mansfield from Massachusetts. This week the Fords host the Philadelphia Public League’s Abraham Lincoln. The non-league contests were made possible thanks to the Harriton Rams opting to play an independent schedule this season and the tradition that Haverford and Upper Darby play on thanksgiving.

Losing Streak will end

When Archbishop Carroll Patriots travel to Cardinal O’Hara this week one thing is for certain. A long losing streak will finally come to an end. Both the Patriots and the Lions haven’t won a game since 2019. The Patriots last won game when they knocked off New Hope Solebury in the 2019 State Playoffs. The Lions last win on the field in September of 2019 when the Lions knocked off Lansdale Catholic

We are now through seven weeks of the season and thus far nobody has been able to slow down the high-octane offense of the Chester Clippers entering play this week the Clippers are averaging a whooping 44.1 points per game while their defense has been just impressive only giving up an average of 2.6 points per game. The Clippers face a tough task this week when they travel to Downingtown West.

Lansdale Catholic to Honor the 1972 Team.

When the Crusaders host the Cardinal O’Hara Lions on October 29 the school will honor the 1972 Undefeated Championship Football team at halftime. That Crusaders team was Coached by the Legendary Jim Algeo. Kick-off for that game is scheduled for 6 pm at Wissahickon High School.
