Pine Richland defeats Mount Lebanon on the Road

Coming off a loss, the Pine Richland Rams were looking for a bounce-back win as they traveled to Mount Lebanon to face the Blue Devils. The Rams started with the ball and immediately got to work, with a 57-yard touchdown pass caught by Khalil Taylor to give the Rams an early 7- 0 lead.

Mt. Lebanon would sputter on the first drive, and on the second play on offense, an overhead snap would be a fumble recovered by the Rams. The Rams would spend no time and get an eight-yard touchdown run by Kiernan Cassidy, putting the Rams up 14-0 within the first three minutes of the game. The Blue Devils would start the drive pushing down the field; however, after a failed conversion on third down, the Blue Devils would send the ball back to the Rams.

The Rams would start at their own 30, pushing the ball down the field with quarterback Aaron Strader connecting with Nico Aiello for a 50-yard touchdown for 3 touchdowns and a 21-0 lead over the Blue Devils in the first quarter.

The Blue Devils offense would continue to struggle, with a three-and-out as the Rams would get the Ball back and continue to push the ball as the quarter ended. Heading into the second quarter, the Rams wasted no time with a 37-yard touchdown pass to run the score to 28-0.

The Rams defense would continue to show in the second quarter, with a defensive touchdown by their defense to push the score to 35-0. The Blue Devils would take a drive to kick a field goal seven minutes into the second quarter, 35-3.

Blue Devils defensive back Kevin Kins picks off the next drive to try and strike some life back into the Blue Devils; however, the offense would hold out and punt the ball back to the Rams. The Rams would chew the clock out to send the game into halftime, Rams up 35-3.

The second half would be filled with running game by the Rams running the ball down the field and settling for a field goal to increase their lead to 38-3.

Another field goal by the team late in the third quarter would increase the lead to 41-3. The Blue Devils would make one last drive attempt to put points on the board and end their drive with a field goal to cap the score at 41-6.

The Rams would run out almost the entire fourth quarter to secure their victory, 41-6, against the Blue Devils.
