Entering Alumni Field, Quakertown came off their first win of the season against Council Rock South, an upset that finally brought momentum to the Quakertown players.

Along with the offensive onslaught, Quakertown’s junior kicker Benjamin Maugle also went 8-for-8 on PAT’s, along with 2 touchbacks and 5 fair-catches on returns.

To start the game, Gavin Handschumacher received the kickoff, and ran for a 60-yard return.

Then, Marcus Baxter punched in the first touchdown of the game, with a goal-line power formation that started the Quakertown onslaught.

After a fumble and recovery for Quakertown, Daimon Lowande-Richardson broke off three tackles, and brought Quakertown within the 15, where freshman Elliot Martin dived for the endzone and made the score 14-0 for Quakertown.

In response to Quakertown, Bensalem’s star running-back Brennan Farnsworth found a gap for a 78-yard touchdown. Farnsworth entered the game with 700 rushing yards, and the leader of Bensalem.

Despite Farnsworth’s touchdown, the Brnsalem defense was no match for Lowande-Richardson, who took an outside toss for an 80-yard touchdown on the first play of Quakertown’s drive, making a 21-6 game.

Lowande-Richardson continued, totaling 160+ yards in the first quarter, with another 36-yard rush, which set up a goal-line connection of Carter Tucholski to Dominic Ferrugio.

Then, with a 35-6 lead, Quakertown recovered a goal-line fumble, where Marcus Baxter punched in his second touchdown of the game, making a 42-6 game.

With the running clock entering half-time, Quakertown and Bensalem substituted the starters, allowing the clock to bleed, with a Quakertown 56-13 victory in result.
