Who is your favorite sports star and why?

Babe Ruth has been my favorite sports star for as long as I can remember. I used to have my dad autograph baseballs for me with Ruth’s signature on them just like in “The Sandlot”. Babe Ruth started out as a pitcher, but was known for his home runs. He had 714 career home runs, at that record stood for 39 years, and still is in the Top 10 of all time. As a pitcher, he set a record for the longest scoreless steak in the World Series-29.7 innings without giving up a run. That record stood for more than 40 years. He dominated his sport in a way that no other athlete in any sport has ever done. He changed the game.

Why do you play football?

I love the high intensity and adrenaline rush you get from Friday night lights. The bond that you develop with your coaches and teammates is like nothing else. Football teaches you mental toughness and ways to overcome adversity. You can’t learn the same things from other sports that football teaches you.

What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?

The Sandlot. It has always been my favorite movie. First of all, I love baseball and that is obviously what the movie is about. It was a different time where people lived in neighborhoods, kids rode bikes everywhere and there were no cell phones. It was also about Babe Ruth, who is my favorite sports figure. I know most of the lines by heart.

If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?

My dad is usually yelling at the referees, haha and my mom would be cheering me on.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

I was playing 5th grade basketball and went down and shot a basket for the other team.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

My grandparents for sure. They come to every game they can-baseball, football and basketball. If they don’t make it, they always text or call me and ask me how the games went. My sisters are always there to cheer me on, unless they have their own games. Also, my uncles and aunts. My Uncle Craig is definitely one of my biggest fans. He also is the team DJ for our football and baseball games.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

I love to fish and hunt. I hunt deer and do mostly trout fishing in local streams. This year, on my birthday, my dad and I went together and each of us caught our first ever palomino trout. I love being in the outdoors and fishing is really relaxing to me.
