Conwell-Egan running back Khian’Dre Harris becomes second D12 player to commit to ODU in as many days

For the second day in a row the staff at Old Dominion landed one of the top prospects in District 12. Conwell-Egan running back Khian’Dre Harris joined Northeast ATH Jon-Luke Peaker as a future Monarch. The speedy 5’10 160 pound back ran for 668 yards and 4 tds for the Eagles in 2010. He also hauled in 14 passes for 234 yards and another score. He made his announcement on twitter tonight:

We caught up with Khian’Dre to ask him about his decision:
PFN: How long have you played football?
Khian’Dre: Ive been playing football since the third grade so about 8 years now
PFN: Why did you choose to commit to the Monarchs?
Khian’Dre: I chose the monarchs because the coaching staff is amazing and I like how they are young and developing and I wanted to be apart of that !
PFN: Why commit early?
Khian’Dre: I committed early because I went with my feeling and that feeling felt good !
PFN: Who was your biggest influence at ODU, who recruited you?
Khian’Dre: Coach smith recruited me. My guy !
PFN: What are they getting in player like you?
Khian’Dre: They are getting a leader and a good player who makes really big plays wherever he’s at on the field.
PFN: What was the recruiting process like for you?
Khian’Dre: The recruiting process was good for me. It went really great.
PFN: How did the Covid 19 pandemic affect your decision?
Khian’Dre: COVID-19 didn’t effect my decision one bit.
PFN: What position were you recruited for?
Khian’Dre: I was recruited for CB
PFN: Do you know what you’d like to study?
Khian’Dre: I would like to study physics education or sports and fitness administration
PFN: What role did your parents play in your decision?
Khian’Dre: My mom and grandparents played a important role. I was happy that we all was on the same path of me committing to ODU
PFN: What do you think is the most exciting thing about the ODU program?
Khian’Dre: I think the most exciting thing about the program is winning game and being successful
PFN: What are you most looking forward to while playing for the Monarchs?
Khian’Dre: I am looking forward to competing everyday on and off the field
PFN: Tell everyone out there in the Old Dominion football world something they’d never know about you until you told them:
Khian’Dre: I will do anything for you guys and to have a successful season !
PFN: Who is the person who most influenced you in your football career?
Khian’Dre: The most important who influenced me in my football career is my dad
PFN: What is it you’d like all your high school teammates and fans to know about your decision that you might have a hard time saying in person?
Khian’Dre: That I’m 100% right on my decision and that this school is the right fit for me!
