Germantown Academy TE Hans Lillis at the end of April, quickly racking up an impressive list that includes Fordham, Stonybrook, RMU, Colgate UPenn, Bryant, Holy Cross, Bucknell, Sacred Heart, Lehigh and Monmouth. But it was a visit to Boston College on Tuesday that sealed the offers door and ended his recruiting process. On twitter the talented 6-4, 225 pound tight end declared he is taking his talent to Boston College:

We caught up with Hans to ask him about his commitment:

PFN: How long have you played football?

I started playing football at age 8.

PFN: Why did you choose to commit to the Eagles?

I went to their camp last year and I really liked the school and their coaches. I had been to other schools and I realized Boston College is the perfect fit for me regarding academics and football.

PFN: Why commit early?

I had visited many other schools and I felt that Boston College was the right fit. It wasn’t an early decision for me having known Coach Leonard for the past 2 years. It had always been my dream school, so when I got the opportunity I took it right away.

PFN: Who was your biggest influence at BC, who recruited you?

Coach Leonard was my biggest influence when I first met him sophomore year when he came to my school. I was able to work with him at camp and I really like his coaching style. It felt like a really great fit.

PFN: What are they getting in player like you?

I love football and I’m dedicated to the sport. I’d like to think I’m coachable and versatile. I’m always willing to improve my game.

PFN: What was the recruiting process like for you?

My high school coach introduced me to coaches starting a couple of years ago and I went to some camps last summer including one at BC. I got my first offer in April of this year. Since then, I’ve steadily received more offers. I went to Boston College’s camp this year and fortunately received an offer. I felt as if that was an opportunity I needed to act on quickly.

PFN: Do you know what you’d like to study?

I’m planning on being a business major.

PFN: What do you think is the most exciting thing about the Boston College program?

Boston College is known for using and having great tight ends. Being a tight end, I feel that it is unique to play for BC and it is something that caught my attention early on in the recruiting process.

PFN: Tell everyone out there in Scarlett Knight land something they’d never know about you until you told them:

Something that many people may not know is that I’ve been playing on my high school varsity basketball team for the past 3 years.

PFN: Who is the person who most influenced you in your football career?

Although my coaches have been an important part of my football career, my dad taught me a lot about football and we share a distinctive interest for the sport. He also was a college football tight end so he not only knows a lot about football, but my position.

PFN: What is it you’d like all your high school team mates and fans to know about your decision that you might have a hard time saying in person?

Throughout my time so far at GA, everyone has been incredibly supportive and I can’t thank them enough for that.
