The Little Lions added one more touchdown after Ethan Prenatt intercepted a Harrisburg pass. Connor Kulka then connected with Max Vendemia for a 36-yard touchdown, extending the lead to 42-20 with 3:12 remaining.
State College’s defense and offense closed out the victory, completing a perfect 10-0 regular season and securing the Midd-Penn championship.
Following the win, Walker credited the offensive line for helping fuel his standout performance.
“I give all credit to my O-line,” Walker said. “Like I said earlier in the season, they’re absolute animals out there, and I love those boys to death. They’re getting Waffle Shop Sunday morning.”
State College Head Coach Matt Lintal reflected on the significance of the team’s accomplishment and the work that went into reaching an undefeated finish.
“It’s like taking a deep breath and just so happy for our kids,” Lintal said. “They worked so hard for this, and it’s special.”
Lintal also pointed to the team’s growth throughout the season, from its opening matchup against Central York to its championship-clinching victory over Harrisburg.
“Feel like the season has been a blank, going back to Central York being a ranked team and starting the season with them, and here we are today,” Lintal said. “Obviously, these kids have continued to grow each and every week.”
With Walker leading the way and the Little Lions delivering in all three phases, State College finished the regular season unbeaten and claimed the Midd-Penn title in convincing fashion.
