Blue Devils start 2-0 by dominating Pine grove

Coming into the game the Blue Devils were coming of their first win in years and looking to do that again. Thr Cardinals suffered a tough loss last week and was looking to bounce back.

The Cardinals won the toss and elected to receive to start the game. They went three and out and Shenandoah then marched down the field and had a touchdown run by Joel Nunez to make the score 7-0. Nathan Bench then threw a pass to David Burrous to make the scored 14-0. #36 Mike Elchisak then broke off a run to make it 21-0 Devils. Pine grove looked to be driving but #2 Gene Stinkus picks the Cardnials off and that led to a #4 Sam Mentusky Field goal to make it 24-0 at half.

In the 3rd quarter Ethan Bench find Gene Stinkus for a long touchdown pass to make it 30-0. Pine Grove Logan Troup finds the end zone for a goaline touchdown make it 30-6. Gene Stinkus scores another touchdown by Ethan Bench then Eathan also find Todd Seiger to make the score 45-6. Pine grove makes the score 45-13. #6 Jonnel Reyes for Shenandoah then brings in a touchdown run to make the final score 52-13.

Take aways are Shenandoah looks like a dominant team to start off the season. If they could get some wins later in the season in some big games they could find themselves in the playoffs. Pine grove has lots of things they need to work on. Pie Grove needs a more dynamic passing game to open the run game up.
