State College Crushes Cedar Cliff, winning 44-0

State College—Another offensive masterclass presented by the State College Little Lions, as they took it to the Cedar Cliff Colts, 44-0.
On the games very first place, AJ Fry went to the house for a 59-yard score. One play in and State College already had the lead- something they will not be giving up all night.

Cedar Cliff ran the ball three straight times, resulting in a punt. The next series for the Little Lions ended shortly after Keen Furmanek fumbled inside the redzone, giving the ball right back to the Colts.
However, for Cedar Cliff, Quarterback Jalen Hinton fumbles two plays later, recovered by the Little Lions, giving the ball right back to the State College.
Something to know about State College is that they take advantage of every opportunity handed their way. That is exactly what they did here. Rowan Walker rushes for a few first downs, then rushes into the endzone to put the Little Lions on top, 14-0.
The Colts were having difficulty finding early rhythm on offense, being behind the sticks, getting hit hard, and being forced to put again.
The opening quarter ends; State College leads it 14-0.
Ka’Ven Smith-Kirk was the headline in the third fourth drive by the home team. A few big runs to get the Little Lions into the redzone, then down to the 1-yard line. Smith-Kirk then got into the endzone, putting State College up 21-0.
For the Colts, Black Secrest converted on third down to give some momentum to the visiting team. The offense went short play, after short play, and Noah Williams came up with the sack to end the Colt’s drive.
Then the wildness began: Fry had a punt return touchdown. But it got called back for 12 men on the field and for an illegal block in the back. The Little Lions were able to bring third-down-and long into fourth-and-short and head coach Matt Lintal kept his offense on the field.
The decision did not pay off, as Cedar Cliff stopped the Little Lions and forced a turnover on downs.
The resulting drive was a three-and-out for the Colts. This led to another punt, and another Fry touchdown return. But once again, history repeated itself, and the touchdown was called back for a blindside block.
All State College needed was one more play to get the points back. Max Venemia scored a 75-yard touchdown catch and run to put his team up 28-0.
Halftime hit with State College leading Cedar Cliff 28-0.
In the third quarter, the Colts punted on their opening drive.
A few minutes later, Hulka got into the endzone with a five-yard rushing score. The touchdown rush gave the Little Lions a 35-0 advantage.
If this was not bad enough for the Colts, the next play would add salts to their wounds. A safety. A safety on a poor snap during a punt attempt put State College up 37-0.
To end the third quarter strong, Zach Spicer scored a tough touchdown where he bulldozed Colt’s defenders over. The rushing touchdown was the sixth score of the game for State College.
The Little Lions were up 44-0 to end the third quarter.

The fourth quarter was a quick 12 minutes. Cameron Regis recorded an interception for the Colts. This was their second turnover forced, but right after Connor X recorded his own interception.
State College ran out the rest of the clock, putting an end to a lopsided contest.
The Little Lions improve to 5-0 on the season.
They travel to Cumberland Valley next week for another in-conference matchup.
This team is firing on all cylinders. The offense looks unstoppable and the defense is not letting anything through.
