Last night, Abington (2-1) went up against CB South (0-3), with CB South securing its first win of the season.
The heat was definitely there, and you could see how badly CB South wanted the victory. They put in the work all night and secured the win.
In the first quarter, we saw Colin White, a running back for CB South, make a 74-yard rushing touchdown, putting CB South ahead early on.
In the second quarter, quarterback Trent Haviland follow it up with a 33-yard rushing touchdown and a fourth-down touchdown pass. To top off the second quarter, CB South made a 68-yard punt return touchdown, followed by two more touchdowns from Josiah Leicht and Jake Blum.
CB South went into halftime leading 37-0.
In the third quarter, no touchdowns were scored, but we saw some key players step up, including CB South captain Sean Bulicki and Hunter Sharp, along with Abington’s Eli Hansen and Kia Taylor.
In the fourth quarter, the score was 37-0, and Abington wasn’t giving up. Caleb Smith from Abington managed to score a touchdown, but CB South came right back and blocked the extra-point attempt by kicker Kaleb Adams.
CB South took home the victory tonight, securing its first win of the season. Tune in next week as Abington matches up against the Pennsbury Hawks!
