Thomas Jefferson topples Montour in Heavyweight Bout.

The Montour Spartans traveled down to the home of the Jaguars, to take on Thomas Jefferson. Montour headed into the game with one loss while Thomas Jefferson had a perfect 3-0 record.
Montour received the ball to start of the game and got a good drive going. Brandon Bennett would connect with Xander Stern to set up the Spartans in Thomas Jefferson territory, but the drive would stall and the Spartans wood turn the ball over on downs
Thomas Jefferson relayed heavily on the ground game tonight with Tyler Eber getting almost every run on the ground. Eber’s running set up that Jaguars when quarterback Harrison Kolling connected with receiver Kane Eggerton for 6 . With 4;35 remaining in the 1st quarter Thomas Jefferson took a 7-0 lead
The Spartans got the ball back and strike back almost instantly. Bennett found Archie Collins in the end zone for 6 . the Kick would be good and at the end of the 1st quarter it would be a tie ball game and at this point it would be anyones game to win!
Heading into the 2nd quarter , The Jaguars got the ball back and a pass interference call set them up for a touchdown, but the drive stalled and the Jagaurs turned the ball over on downs.
Both teams would get some good drives in but both would end in punts. It wouldn’t be until the 4;58 mark in the 2nd quarter where Thomas Jefferson would strike. Kolling found Eggerton again and put the Jaguars up by one score.
Montour would wake up after this. Dom Barron had a good 30 yard return on a squib kick that set up a Bennett strike to Stern across the middle. The game was tied at 14 a piece with 2 minutes and some change remained, but that jaguars would not give up and with 11 seconds remaining in the quarter Kolling found Lucas Patterson deep in the end zone for a score that put the Jaguars up 7 heading into half
Thomas Jefferson received the ball and killed almost the entire game clock with a ground and pound drive through the legs of Eber who found the end zone with with 3;28 remaining in the 3rd quarter. Montour got the ball back but the 3rd quarter, but the 3rd quarter turned into the 4th and the Spartans had to make something happen
That’s just what Bennett did! Bennett found Stern again for his 3rd passing touchdown of the night and a surprise 2 point conversion put the Spartans down by 6. The momentum was in Montours favor and they wouldn’t lose it. A Jaguars punt set the Spartans up. Bennett would find Barron for an unbelievable catch. Bennett turned into Derrick Henry and punched his way in to give Montour the lead 29-22 with 5 minutes remaining in the 4th
The Jagaurs knew what they had to do, score and win and thats just what they did. After some strong running from Eber , he would punch it in for the Thomas Jefferson score with a minute and 45 seconds remaining, they would go for 2 and not get it keeping the score 34-29 in favor of the Jaguars.
Tyler Eber takes it in for 6. TJ TRIES TO GO FOR 2 but does not get it. WE HAVE A GAME ON OUR HANDS‼️‼️

Montour got the ball back and couldn’t do anything with it! Thomas Jefferson escaped with a win
The Spartans dropped to 3-2 and the Jaguars improved to 4-0
