Tyler Eber and TJ rush past the Moon Tigers

First round of WPIAL 5A Football Playoffs are here. Thomas Jefferson Jaguars takes on Moon Area Tigers. Thomas Jefferson coming into this game sat at 7-2 and had the #7 seed in WPIAL Class 5A. While Moon Area came into the game at 3-6 and had the #10 seed in WPIAL Class 5A. The Jaguars rode the legs of Tyler Eber, who scored five times, to a win with the final score being 42-0.
What looked like was going to be a close game during the first quarter as neither team was able to get anything going in the ran nor the pass game. It was 0-0 at the end of the first. It didn’t take long till TJ put some points up on the board. As just 10 seconds into the 2nd quarter. Senior running back Tyler Eber ran it in for his first rushing touchdown of the day.
Right as I hit post on that last one. On the first play of the 2nd quarter. Tyler Eber takes it all the way to the house and extra point is good‼️‼️‼️

During the second quarter neither Thomas Jefferson or Moon could get anything going in the passing game. Moon quarterback Richard McMullen tries to connect on a deep pass to Savario Vandetti but TJ’s Elijah Fant takes it away. Then just 2 plays later TJ’s quarterback in Harrison Kolling would give it right back to Moon as they pick him off.
Moon struggled heavily against the standout Jaguars defense. They couldn’t get anything going at all. Later in the 2nd quarter Tyler Eber used his speed to bypass all the defenders and get in for his 2nd rushing touchdown. Moonwent 4 and out the next drive, so TJ took advantage of that as Tyler Eber ran it in for his 3rd touchdown.
Make it 3!!! Yes 3 rushing Touchdowns for Tyler Eber before the first half is even over‼️‼️‼️ Extra point is good

Moon went 4 and out yet again and was forced to punt. The snap went over the kickers head for Moon and TJ had great field advantage with 45 seconds left to go in the first half. Tyler Eber couldn’t be stopped all night long and scored his 4th rushing touchdown before the first half ended.
To open the 2nd half. Moon fumbled the kickoff and TJ got the ball right back. Tyler Eber would rush for his 5th touchdown of the night.
Can’t say enough about Tyler Eber! This kid has 5 rushing touchdowns

Moon started to get something going in the passing game as a couple quick passes got them all the way down to the TJ 30. Senior Deacon Kamberis took the ball right out of Moons quarterbacks hands and take it all the way to the endzone to make it 42-0 TJ.
Thomas Jefferson takes on Penn-Trafford Friday November 11th at Penn-Trafford HS.
