Washington blows South Allegheny out in week 2 showdown

After a loss last week the South Allegheny Gladiators were looking to even there record this week when they traveled to Wash High Stadium to take on the Washington Pixies.

The game started out back in fourth with multiple punts and stops between both teams before a heave thrown by quarterback Travon Moore to JaQuay Heyman would put the Pixies at the 1 yard line where Trenton Grooms would punch it in for his first of the night making the score 7-0 with 3:51 left in the first quarter.

The game would once again be a back in fourth, but the pixies would make the first bg mistake of the game with a costly fumble where the Gladiators would recover but would go 4 an out. The Pixies would also go 4 and out.

Down by a score Alijah Cook would find Malakai Myers across the middle but a huge hit would force the ball loose right into the hands of his teammate Chance Cole for the score. They would go for 2 but be unsuccessful

it would 7-6 Pixties until Moye found Grooms again for his 2nd touchdown of the night to extend the lead 13 to 6 Pixies

It would get ugly after this with multiple scores from Jamarie Walker, Ameer Nelson and Derick pace would give the Pixies a big win tonight. Final from the game tonight was Washington 56 and South Allegheny 20

The Pixies will up their record to 2-0 and face California away next week while the Gladiators fall to 0-2 and face Mt. Pleasant next week at home.
