2026 District 4 Power Rankings: Week 4

Four weeks of football are in the books, so it’s once again time for our weekly rankings. There were a few big matchups last week that caused some movement in the rankings. The top two teams still haven’t moved, but there were plenty of changes behind them. Only one team dropped out of the rankings this week, that being Warrior Run. Let’s have a look at where everyone else stands after week 4.
Top 10 Teams
#1: Southern Columbia (4-0)
Last Week: #1
Still no movement at number one, Southern Columbia continues to roll. They took down Lewisburg on the road 61-8, completely dominating from start to finish, it’s no surprise that the Tigers stay at number one. The Tigers are back at home this week, welcoming to town Central Columbia.
#2: Shamokin (4-0)
Last Week: #2
Just like Southern Columbia at number one, still no movement here at number two, however Shamokin did get a very impressive win under their belt this week, taking down Jersey Shore at home 35-14. Prior to that game, Jersey Shore was ranked #3 in these rankings. This week the Indians are back on the road facing Central Mountain.
#3: Mount Carmel (4-0)
Last Week: #6 (+3)
The Red Tornadoes jump up to number three after a very impressive 55-7 win over North Schuylkill. Last season when those two teams met, North Schuylkill crushed them 62-20, so Mount Carmel completely flipped the script this time around. Mount Carmel is also 4-0 for the first time since 2022. This week the Red Tornadoes are on the road against Danville.
#4: Bloomsburg (4-0)
Last Week: #5 (+1)
The Panthers get their fourth straight win, taking down Warrior Run 34-15 at home, moving them up to number four. Warrior Run was previously ranked #9 before their matchup against Bloomsburg. The Panthers are now 4-0 for the second consecutive season. This week they are on the road against Midd-West.
#5: Jersey Shore (3-1)
Last Week: #3 (-2)
The Bulldogs struggled against #2 ranked Shamokin, making a ton of costly errors leading to a 35-14 defeat. They were still very much in the game against the Indians, they just struggled to finish drives, which is why they only drop down to number five. The Bulldogs are on the road again this week, travelling to face #9 ranked Shikellamy.
#6: Line Mountain (4-0)
Last Week: #7 (+1)
The Eagles got themselves another gritty win last week, beating Upper Dauphin 14-7. Line Mountain’s 4-0 start has them looking like a top contender like we saw out of them last season, which moves them up to number six in this week’s rankings. Line Mountain is back at home this week facing Camp Hill.
#7: Montgomery (3-1)
Last Week: #4 (-3)
Montgomery was bested by Troy last week on the road, losing 14-7 to the Trojans who are now ranked #10. The Red Raiders still have a very strong defense, but their offense struggled until late in the game, causing them to drop to number seven. Montgomery is back at home this week facing Muncy.
#8: Athens (3-1)
Last Week: #8
The Wildcats got their second straight win last week, winning 17-7 over South Williamsport and improving to 3-1 on the year. Athens’ defense showed out in the win, marking the second straight week that Athens has had a strong performance defensively. This week the Wildcats are back at home facing Towanda.
#9: Shikellamy (3-1)
Last Week: Not Ranked
The Braves had an incredible offensive performance last week, taking down Williamsport 48-44 on the road in a thriller. Shikellamy showed a lot of resilience after their loss to Shamokin two weeks ago, and they are now 3-1 on the year which moves them up to number nine in the rankings. Shikellamy has another big test this week, as they will go on the road to face #5 ranked Jersey Shore.
#10: Troy (3-1)
Last Week: Honorable Mention #1
Troy moves into the top 10 after their hard fought 14-7 win over #7 ranked Montgomery. The Trojans have now won their third straight game since falling to Montoursville 26-19 in the opening week of the season. They are now also past the toughest stretch of their schedule. Troy is back on the road this week against Wellsboro.
Honorable Mentions
HM #1: Williamsport (3-1)
Last Week: #10 (-1)
The Millionaires fought hard last week, but they ultimately lost to the now #9 ranked Shikellamy Braves. One thing to note is that Williamsport was without star quarterback Tevin Williams in that game and still put up 44 points, which is why they only drop one spot. Williamsport stays at home this week to face Selinsgrove.
HM #2: Loyalsock (3-1)
Last Week: Honorable Mention #2
The Lancers continue to put up strong performances, beating Midd-West 42-18 last week. The passing game was electric last week, with quarterback Dyson Dupont throwing a whopping 6 touchdowns in the win. Loyalsock stays on the road this week as they will travel to face Mifflinburg.
HM #3: Muncy (3-1)
Last Week: Honorable Mention #3
Muncy following their opening week loss to Warrior Run has now won three straight games, with their most recent coming last week at home against Towanda 32-9. The Indians have looked dominant on both sides of the ball the past three weeks. They will have an extremely tough task this week as they will go on the road to face #7 ranked Montgomery.
