Both Ben Sosnowski from Hollidaysburg and Stephen Scourtis from State college were selected to the Big 33 Game.
Ben, a Kicker who is signed to play at the next level at Saint Francis here in Pennsylvania, was excited to make the team. When asked what it meant for him to make it he said “It means a lot to me because it’s been a goal of mine to be the Big 33 kicker ever since Vlad Hilling from my High School set the B33 record for longest field goal in 2018. It made me want to play in this game a lot” Ben had quite the senior season with 6/6 on field goals including a 50 yarder, 34/41 on touchbacks, and 22/22 on extra points.
From State College, it’s Harvard commit Stephen Scourtis who will be playing Tight End in the game. When asked what it meant to play in the Big 33 Game he said “
“It was funny because I didn’t know until I saw Coach Kaluza, Coach Reeder, and some others texting me congrats. However, once I noticed I had been selected to play in the Big 33 game it meant a lot and I can definitely say I’m grateful for the opportunity. As always, I couldn’t have reached this point without my family and everyone in SC that has helped me along the way. It is an honor to represent PA in such a historic game and I’m looking forward towards competing with the best of the best!” He recorded 8 catches for 80 yards and I have to mention his incredible blocking ability. On the defensive side of the ball he got 104 total tackles with 49 of those being solo along with 9 sacks.
Michael Dincher was also selected but will not be participating.
