November 2, 2024 | EJ Samuel
It was a chilly setting at Wilkes-Barre Area High School for yet another battle between NEPA’s equivalent to “twin cities” and it is likely that the wind and cold temperatures played a part in the slow start for both teams. Both teams struggled to get the ball moving, but towards the end of the 1st […]

October 26, 2024 | EJ Samuel
When you think of rivalries in NEPA, you may think of ones such as Gerry’s vs Angelo’s, KRZ vs Rock107 or Froggy101, WBRE vs WNEP or Fox56 even for a while the WV Mall vs Steamtown…but when it comes to football, it’s Wyoming Area vs Pittston Area. Both teams knew this and with only 1 […]
Wyoming Area takes down Hanover Area
October 5, 2024 | EJ Samuel
Wyoming Area came into their matchup against Hanover Area with one simple goal: win. To say they reached that goal is an understatement. Many times we were shown the brilliance of upcoming Hanover Area QB Logan Richardson in this game. However, the Wyoming Area defense was too much for the undersized offensive line and the […]

September 28, 2024 | EJ Samuel
The Lake Lehman Knights played spoiler to Nanticoke’s homecoming, and no matter what angle you view the game, it seemed like the key factor was capitalizing on miscues. The rain helped contribute to a scoreless 1st quarter, and then both teams traded blows. Within a few minutes, we went from a scoreless tie, to a […]
Geskey, Zapoticky power Dallas to second straight win beating Pittston 30-22
September 21, 2024 | EJ Samuel
Dallas wanted to continue the ride in the win column, and Pittston Area didn’t make it easy by any stretch. Dallas won the toss and elected to receive, and although I was personally puzzled by this decision, it appears Dallas knew what they were doing as Dallas’ Dylan Geskey threw the first punch, putting them […]

September 14, 2024 | EJ Samuel
The Lackawanna Trail Lions offense has been clicking recently, and tonight’s game was no exception. Dunmore came into this home game winless with something to prove, and left the same way thanks to Isaac Ryon and Demitrius Douglas who were responsible for all 4 touchdowns in this one. Isaac Ryon scored 3 touchdowns in the […]

September 7, 2024 | EJ Samuel
Both Dallas and Abington Heights had something to prove tonight and they only stood in each other’s way. Dallas came into the game at 0-2 and in uncharted territory, white Abington Heights came in at 1-1 and under the radar. Dallas got the ball to start the game and just like Abington Heights, they struggled […]

August 31, 2024 | EJ Samuel
Scranton came into their contest against Wyoming Valley West with confidence. Immediately scoring and not looking back, 2 touchdowns from Scranton QB Brody Coyle helped the Knights get past the Spartans in style. WVW had one simple problem that caused them much strife, and that was unfinished tackles. When playing against elusive players like Brody […]

August 24, 2024 | EJ Samuel
The town of Tunkhannock was packed with football fans for Friday night’s game between the Lackawanna Trail Lions and the Tunkhannock Tigers. While both teams had different storylines heading into this game, they both had one in common: Business. Tunkhannock started off strong by stopping Lackawanna Trail’s potent offense and forcing them to go 3 […]
