What are your thoughts on last season?
Last season, we played a very tough schedule that consisted of many great opponents. Those opponents may have been great but were definitely beatable. We should have gone further into the postseason but ultimately came up short against the state runner up (Cheltenham).
How have you been preparing for the upcoming season during the pandemic?
During the pandemic, I have been doing lots of lifting along with speed and agility work.
What are your expectations for the team this year?
My expectations for the team this year is to take down Kennett, win the ChesMont, and make a run for the district championship.
What are your personal expectations for this year?
This year, my goal is to be on the all area team. I want to make a name for myself not only in the league but in the state.
Describe the atmosphere during a home game.
The atmosphere during a home game at Unionville is incredible. The student section is awesome and it feels good to know that the people you love are behind you. Especially my mom and dad.
Describe one key event that changed your life in a positive way.
One event that changed my life in a positive way was the first game of last year against West Chester Henderson. In that game, I realized that I could compete with some really good athletes.
Describe one key event that changed your life in a negative way.
When we played Kennett last season, I did not play to the best of my ability. It made me realize what will happen if full focus is not put into everything you do.
Who is your favorite athlete and why?
My favorite athlete is the Jacksonville Jaguars edge rusher, Josh Allen. He was not highly recruited and made a name for himself in a tough conference. Allen proved everyone wrong by giving all he had on every single play.
Who is your biggest role model and why?
My biggest role model is my dad. I can always rely on him for help with anything and to keep me in line. Additionally, I truly admire him as a father. He sends me quotes before games to pump me up.
Explain what your teammates mean to you.
My teammates are like brothers to me. We all share the same expectations when it comes to the team and can rely on each other at all times.
Describe the relationship between you and your head coach.
The relationship between me and Coach Clark is truly special. He knows how to push me to be the best player possible. Additionally, he lets me know when I need to step up.
What is your favorite sports movie and why?
My favorite sports movie is “Remember the Titans”. The film reminds me that you can make something out of nothing and how anyone can come together with one common goal.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
When not training for sports, my go to activity is playing XBOX. I enjoy staying connected with my friends and having a fun time.
