Why do you play football?

Football is the best game on the planet. You need to have the perfect mix of skills and strength while using your mind to stay focused on what is in front of you. Additionally, putting other players on their back brings me joy.

How did you make the most out of your time during the pandemic?

During the pandemic, I worked on building muscle while maintaining a healthy diet. I wanted to learn more about the game. Therefore, I watched a lot of football videos via ESPN and NFL Network.

What are your expectations for the team this year?

I expect this to be the first team to make the ‘District One’ playoffs since the 2017 season. Even though this is a senior heavy team, we will get contributions from everyone who laces up.

What are your personal expectations?

My personal expectations are to be the best leader that I can be on and off of the field. Having an All-Delco season to end my high school career would be awesome.

Explain what your teammates mean to you.

My teammates are my family. They mean everything to me and I have their back no matter what.

Describe the relationship between you and your coaching staff.

The coaching staff means just as much to me as my teammates. I have all of the confidence in the world that they will help me succeed as an individual and help the team win. Coach Smith, Graham, and Burba all have earned the respect and trust from every player in the locker room.

Who is your favorite athlete and why?

My favorite athlete is Kobe Bryant. His mindset and mentality through both athletics and everyday life can not be matched.

How do you support the other teams at Penncrest?

At Penncrest, I play basketball, football, and lacrosse. When we do not have games or practice, I attempt to support all of the other athletic teams at the school.

How do you continue to build a culture with the underclassmen?

We preach that everyone is equal on the team and we are all striving for the same goal.

What is your favorite sports movie and why?

My favorite sports movie is “The Blind Side” because the plot is almost identical to the real story of Michael Oher. It is awesome to see Michael prevail after seeing him encounter problems that nobody his age should have to go through.

Is there a certain game on your schedule that you are circling?

I am looking forward to our opening game against Sun Valley. Penncrest has not won their home opener since 2017 and I want to change that.
