Why do you play football?
I love everything about the game….the physical and mental aspects, the brotherhood, and the excitement of playing in front of a large crowd on Friday nights.
What has been your best memory from football so far?
There are so many but the one that stands out to me right now was during my Freshman year, we were on a seven-game losing streak. Our next game was against Harry S. Truman at home. We battled the entire game and came out with a 21-14 win. When the game ended the entire student section and fans bum-rushed the field to congratulate us on the win. It was so amazing!
Who is your favorite pro athlete and why?
Ray Lewis, he’s a beast. One of the best middle linebackers in NFL history.
Who is your biggest fan and why?
My parents and family are my biggest fans and supporters. Since day one, they’ve always cheered me on and pushed me to reach my highest potential.
Is there any specific person you look up to and use as a role model?
My dad is my role model. He is such a hard worker and he has instilled that in me.
What is your desired major in college?
Undecided.
Coming off a year with COVID struggles what do you think this year will be like?
I am really looking forward to this season being more “normal” with a full schedule and fans in the stands. Last year was tough with not knowing if we’d even get the opportunity to play. So I just consider us blessed to be able to continue to work every day.
Favorite play to run?
Timed blitz up the middle to sack the QB.
What is your personal goal for this season?
Tally up the most tackles in the league, get First Team All-League linebacker award.
Favorite pre-game meal?
I always look forward to our team pasta dinners.
Sports movie?
The Program
Sport you’d love to play but can’t?
I think lacrosse would be fun to play.
Most embarrassing sports moment?
When I got my first varsity start as a Freshman, I got pancaked by a 365lb lineman. I was a lot smaller back then.
What are you looking forward to most this year?
Getting back in the backfield and running the ball as I used to in Pee Wees.
Favorite activities?
Fishing, Snowboarding, & Hanging with my boys.
