Which side of the ball is harder to play for you? Explain:

For me, it’s defense. I started on defense my whole sophomore season and I made plays, but the position never felt like it was a good fit for me. I knew I was an offensive lineman at heart, but I’ll play any position my coach needs me to play.

Looking at the schedule for this coming season who is the team you most want to beat. Why?

Definitely Cardinal O’Hara. They’re the other team in Springfield, and starting last year we made a deal where we’d play O’hara for the next few years or so. It’s a big rivalry in my opinion, and since we beat them last year, I’d love to keep the streak going.

During the off-season, what have you done to make yourself a better player for this season?

A big mix of lifting, footwork, technical work, speed, and conditioning. Many linemen think that only lifting helps them, but when you’re in the 4th quarter and it’s tied, you want to be up to speed and make some big plays. Lifting is great don’t get me wrong, but speed and conditioning are just as important. But those things can only get you so far without the proper footwork and technique. Once you have a combo of all of those, you’ll be a great lineman executing and making big plays.

My lifting numbers have gone up significantly since the end of last season. My footwork, technique, and speed have gotten much better and it shows in camp. I can’t wait for this season because I am going to be a big problem.

Is it harder going up against a guy your size or a smaller, faster guy?

I can play against a guy of any size and be successful, but tall and fast edge rushers can be a problem here and there.

What are your personal goals as well as the goals you have set for the team?

My biggest personal goal is to have the opportunity to play football at the Division 1 level. I know I have the size and capabilities to do so, and I have a lot of division 1 interest. I don’t have any offers though and I am grinding to get that 1 chance. Though to play at the next level is a big dream and privilege in itself, I’d be happy to play at any level.

As for my team, I want to help lead my team to a championship and be the best in the Central league.

Which road game is the toughest place to play? Can you tell us why?

There’s no road game that’s tough for me to play. I’ll play anywhere, anytime, regardless of the weather. It could be 80° and sunny or 40° and rainy, and it wouldn’t be a problem.

After the season is over, how important is it to you to be invited to play in one or two of the state-wide All-Star games?

It would mean everything to me to have the opportunity to continue my senior season with some state-wide All-Star games. I have no problem playing in it; it would be a pleasure to do so.

Do you have any college offers? If you do, can you share a few with our readers?

I have 0 offers but I have a lot of interest in the Division 1 FBS/FCS, Division 2, and Division 3 level. I hope to get an offer through my camp season this summer. I’m a 6’4” 310lb versatile offensive lineman with quick feet, great speed, and phenomenal strength. I believe I’d be a great asset to any team at the college level.

Where is the best place in your town to eat?

Sofie’s Steaks in Morton, PA. By far the best cheesesteak in Delco.
