You must go back to the 2017 season to find the last time William Tennent ended the season with a winning record, and then you have to go back to 2005 and the 2006 season to find the last time the school had back-to-back winning seasons. What must this year’s team do to not only produce a winning season but start a change in how things have gone for you guys in recent times?

This year we must start to connect and have chemistry with one another, build a relationship on and off the field, and build a reputation no one else believes is true. We just start a winning environment around WT football. The atmosphere changes in each practice but will stay the same on the field. The team, including me, am tired of William Tennent football constantly being brought down every year. This year we are looking to compete with new teams, ourselves, and to start a winning football environment around William Tennent.

What advice would you give that first-year starter right before he takes the field?

The advice I would give to a first-year starter is to give it all you got and don’t regret the last snap. If you overthink a play, then you’ll be thinking about that one play. Play whistle to whistle and dominate to the fullest.

What have you been able to accomplish during the offseason to make you a better player on the field?

During the off-season, I have accomplished pre-snap reads of the defense while making my decision of where and when to throw the ball. I’m quicker with my decisions and already anticipating what the defense will do. My football IQ has jumped a whole lot ever since last year. I certainly have gotten stronger, as well.

Who is the one team you want to beat the most on the 2022 schedule?

On the 2022 schedule, the team I want to beat the most is game 1, Council Rock South. After week 1, I want to beat every other team we verse.

After the season is all over, how important will it be to you to be able to play in one or two of the All-Star games around the state?

An opportunity to play in an All-Star game would be amazing. I would love to be able to step onto that playing field knowing I made a mark on William Tennent athletics. It would be a great ending to my high school football career.

What is your most embarrassing moment on the football field?

My most embarrassing moment on the football field was running a whole different play than the offense, not knowing what to do with the ball, tucked and running with it, while flipping over the whole line.

What is your favorite moment on the football field?

My favorite moment on the football field was throwing my first variety touchdown pass against Springfield. I let that ball fly out of my hands and was going crazy when the refs put up his two arms.

Why do you play football?

See football isn’t like any other sport. Football is a game of competitiveness, passion, loyalty, and self-discipline. Football isn’t the sport you can go in your backyard, pad up and play. I play football because I love playing the sport and am very passionate about all aspects of the game. It’s a game you can love to play, but it can be taken away from you in a blink of an eye.

What is your favorite TV show?

My favorite TV show is ESPN.

What is the one food you enjoy that most others do not?

One food I enjoy that most others may not would have to be oysters.

Where is the go-to spot in your town to eat?

The go-to spot in my town to eat is Pizza Plaza.
