Jack was a 1st Team All-League selection as a junior. He connected on 7 FG’s this season including a walk-off game-winner in an OT game. He did not miss on 29 PATs and had 8 Touchbacks. Jack works tirelessly at his craft and has added size and explosiveness to his frame this off-season. Jack has traveled quite a bit to work with kicking coaches, including alum Barney Amor (PSU grad and about to enter the NFL draft). He has great energy and is our leader in this third of the game.

Which do you like better, kicking or punting?

Kicking, I love the pressure and the difficulty it takes to get the job done. Makes it unique to any other position.

Is it more exciting to make the long kick to nail your opponent deep inside their own territory or the long field goal?

Long shot field goal beats any other feeling. I love the juice from the crowd and knowing I’m putting some points on the board for the team.

What have you worked on during the off-season to improve your game?

Punting, I added a new aspect to my game that I’m going to shock a lot of people with this year. Also connected with a new coach Luke Gaddis and have been touching up my form.

During practice, how much time do you get to work on your craft?

I work all practice on every aspect. Usually work in thirds, field goals, kickoffs, and punting. Coach Donnelly does a great job incorporating special teams into our practices.

Where do you go when you need kicking advice?

My kicking coach Luke Gaddis or head coach Donnelly, both understand me and know my capabilities and what I need to do to become better.

What have been your favorite and least favorite memories on the football field?

My favorite memory is the game-winner in overtime vs Pennridge. I will never forget that feeling. My worst memory is missing my first ever extra point freshmen year, but I’m happy it happened because I think about it every day and it pushes me to get better so I never have to feel that feeling ever again.

After the season is over, how much will it mean to you to be invited to play in the Big-33 or East vs. West All-Star game?

It would mean the world, I’ve put in a lot of work to get to play in such a prestigious game and playing against the best of the best is a great feeling knowing I’m up there.

Have you heard from any college coaches about playing at the next level? If yes, would you name one or two of the schools?

Yes, I’ve been talking to a good amount of coaches and attending camps and trying to be seen. I’m happy to play wherever gives me a chance and feels like home.

Where should the state finals be held?

Lincoln financial. Home of the best team in the nation, go birds!

What are your goals for the 2023 season and your goals for the team?

Perfection for myself. I expect every hall to be perfect and get points on the board and put my team in the best position to make plays. For the team we have some goals in mind, win CB cup, and hang a banner.

What was the best and worst part of the 2022 season?

The best was the game-winner and the undefeated run we had, the worst was losing to cross-town rival West.

Is there a coach or athlete that you look up to as a role model, and why?

I look up to Jake Elliot. He’s a great kicker and is always working and perfecting his craft as well as being a good family man and person off the field.

Which sports team do you dislike the most?

I hate the Cleveland Browns and Boston Celtics.

What is your go-to spot to grab a bite?

Chipotle, nothing beats a burrito after practice.
