WORDS FROM THE HEAD COACH:

Dante Bibbs has been an excellent addition to the Pottsgrove program. As a junior, Bibbs started on both sides of the ball, at OT and DE. Dante brings tenacity and intensity to every play and is the unquestioned vocal leader of both the offensive and defensive lines.

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Pottsgrove High School ?
The best part of being a student athlete is interacting with the ones around me, making friends and playing the sport I love at a great school.

How long have you been playing football(any level) ?
I’ve been playing football since I was 5 years old because of my uncle, he went to Virginia Union and trained me every since he stopped playing.

Of all the road games you have played, which stadium had the best overall atmosphere, along with what made it so good ?
The best road game in my opinion was against Phoenixville, their crowd was loud the entire game, unfortunately we fell short but it was fun to be around that environment.

If the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense ? Explain:
If the game is on the line I would want to be on defense, because I feel like I can and will make that game winning tackle.

As an athlete, what has been your biggest achievement ?
Going first team all public my Freshman and Sophomore year, then moving up to Pottsgrove and my first year here going first team all PAC, it just shows how great and how much work I put into the game of football, also shows that I haven’t slowed down on progressing to being great.

What was the high point of the 2023 season ?
My high point of 2023 is when I started playing defense in the middle of the season, I feel like and a lot of my teammates feel like I was a big game changer on the defensive line.

What are you going to miss the most from the class of 2024 ?
The leadership they always bring to the table, Bryce Caffery, Joey Quinter, Christian Tibbs, etc, they all showed leadership and wanted everyone to shine.

What are your goals for the 2024 season ?
To make it to the PAC championship and I know that’s my teammates goal as well. We are doing everything in our power to better each other to be ready when the season starts!

Who is your favorite sports star and why ?
My favorite sports stars has to be Myles Garret on the defensive side, and Trent Williams on the offensive line, they both show how much they love the game and how much leadership they bring as well to their side of the ball.

Who is the best player(s) you have ever lined up against and what team did they play for ?
I’ve played against a very good defensive end 2 years ago who played at Pittsburgh Central Catholic, I don’t know his name but I know he committed to a power-5 school for college.

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
I would like to visit a Penn State white-out game.

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ? Explain:
Basketball wise, I like the Philadelphia 76ers, and I also like whatever teams my uncles playing on. My uncles are the Morris twins (Marcus Morris, Markieff Morris), they are my dad brothers, which is a reason where I get my height from.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
One of my favorite games is last year game against Boyertown, it came down to the wire with us winning 38-35.

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
Remember the Titans, it’s THE BEST football movie ever created. It has a really deep meaning to it and shows the highs and lows of a football team.

Which one, Sheetz, Wawa, or Rutters ? Explain:
Wawa, I’m from Philly, so I don’t really know the other ones and Wawa always been my thing since I was younger.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
My favorite vacation is the Dominican Republic, it’s very fun and very hot.

Tell us something that you have a fear of ?
I don’t have a fear.

Favorite Fast Food/Burger place and why ?
Five Guys or Shake Shack has the best burgers in the game!!

Have you ever been to a professional sports game, which ones ?
Yes, I’ve been to multiple Sixers games, Clippers, and Washington Wizards games for basketball, and I’ve been to 3 NFL games 2 Eagles and 1 Seahawks game.

NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why ?
NFL would be my favorite cause it’s my favorite sport, and I love to watch and study the game of football.

What is your favorite video game, on mobile and or console ?
I like Call of Duty and Madden and I have a PlayStation 5 so on console is my go to.

What toppings go on your favorite pizza ?
Green Peppers and Pepperoni.

Favorite School Subject ?
I would say History is my favorite.

Favorite Band/Musician ?
Lil Uzi, Vert is my favorite artist.

Airplane, Boat, or Vehicle(motorcycles included), how would you travel and to where ?
Airplane and I would go to like Jamaica.

Name one thing in life(NOT SPORTS RELATED) you would like to achieve:
Getting my college degree.

Location you think would be the best place to live(ie: island, mountains, city, etc) ? Explain why:
City, I like being around buildings and people, I can’t be in the mountains cause I would feel isolated and bored.
