Let’s get to know Tanner!

Why do you play football?

I love the sport and have built so many strong relationships through it. It also has taught me to battle through adversity when faced with.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

I have always loved Christian McCaffery and his game as I try to replicate his play style.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

Round 2 of District Playoffs against Marple my junior year, I broke off about an 5 yard out into a 50 yard play inside the 10 yard line. It wasn’t a touchdown but the situation was special. We were having a super rough time moving the ball on offense and we went to me to get things going. This gave us a huge spark and a big score going into that halftime.

What was last years season like for you?

It was redemption, I started both ways sophomore year and had so much fun, but lost a heartbreaker to Strath Haven in district play. Going into junior year with a bigger role, we knocked off Strath Haven and battled into the district final.

What are your goals for this coming season?

First Team All Central League and All Delco / Along with 1000 yards rushing, 600 yards receiving and 12+ Td’s

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

Sam Milligan My freshman year. He played with one arm and had 4 TDS. I was only in at the end of the game but shocked me with his agility.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

Orange Bowl 2025 Notre Dame vs Penn State. I am a huge ND fan and watching them knock off an elite team in Penn State had me thrilled. The game went down to the wire and had me sweating.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

My Father, he is the perfect role model and Dad. He gives me the best mindset to go in and succeed against the best competition. He allows be to be prepared for anything that may cross my path.

What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?

Oklahoma by far is my favorite, it’s the closest thing to live play and true contact. The best way to get better in a live situation.

Preseason Two a Days are:

Not for the weak
