DOYLESTOWN- Delaware Valley University played host to 4th annual Bucks-Montco Lions Club All-Star Football Game Thursday night before an enthusiastic crowd. When the final whistle blew, Bucks County earned it’s third straight victory in the series by a 44-6 score.

Led by Jonathan Post of Pennridge catching two scoring passes and Harry S. Truman’s running back Enzo Paulson rushing for two more scores in the blowout win.

Montco got on the board first with Wisshickon’s Chris Edwards-Smalls returned a fumble punt 31 yards with just two minutes gone in the contest. He was named the Montco Defensive player of the game and is committed to Lincoln University in the fall.

Bucks then got on track with thier next possession driving to the Montco 29 where Post was on receiving end of his Pennridge team QB Zak Kantor pass to tie the game at 6. Poulson found the end zone from 19 yards out. Central Bucks East QB Evan O’Donnell capped off another Bucks scoring drive from two yards out. Then the defense, not wanting to be left out Matthew Checchia of Council Rock South picked off a pass and returned it 32 yards to make 26-6 at intermission.

The second half featured a touchdown pass from O’Donnell to Ithaca College Commit Chris Lochetta for a 42 yard score, who was left uncovered at the Montco 10 yard line. Kantor again hooked up with Post from 17 yards out. Post outleapeda Montco defender inside to five yard line. Poulson closed out the scoring on a one yard late in the third quarter.
With the mercy rule in effect there was no scoring in final quarter.
