
Dapree Bryant becomes second Coatesville player to commit to Villanova @dapree_bryant @Football_Cville

In 2018 Coatesville quarterback Ricky Ortega threw for 2,261 yard and 35 tds. Dapree Bryant was on the receiving end of nearly half of them, collecting 1,009 yards and 15 tds. Ortega committed to Villanova a few weeks ago. Today, the Wildcats collected the other half of those stats when Bryant committed to Coach Mark Ferrante’s program. Among his other offers were the likes of William & Mary, Youngstown St, Navy, Bryant, New Hampshire and more, 15 total. He announced his decision via twitter:
We caught up with Dapree and asked him about his decision and what it’s going to be like to continue with his QB:
PFN: How long have you played football?
Dapree: Ive been playing since 7 years old
PFN: Why did you choose to commit to the Wildcats?
Dapree: I felt at home soon as I stepped on campus
PFN: Why commit early?
Dapree: I felt it was my time
PFN: How exciting to continue with Ortega?
Dapree: very excited we been together since 7 years old
PFN: Did that play a part in your decision?
Dapree: No
PFN: Who was your biggest influence at Villanova, who recruited you?
Dapree: Coach Ferrante and my recruiter was coach Riede
PFN: What are they getting in player like you?
Dapree: They’re getting a player that can play multiple positions
PFN: What was the recruiting process like for you?
Dapree: The recruiting process was hard for me to decide. i built strong relationships with coaches but nova is where i felt home at.
PFN: What position were you recruited for?
Dapree: Wide Receiver
PFN: Do you know what you’d like to study?
Dapree: I would like to study business as of right now.
PFN: What role did your parents play in your decision?
Dapree: They played a big role
PFN: What do you think is the most exciting thing about the Villanove program?
Dapree: everyone is one big family.
PFN: Who is the person who most influenced you in your football career?
Dapree: Myself
