Sunday morning the District 1 Steering Committee had its annual meeting announcing the Playoff Meetings for District 1.
6A: In 6A the defending District 1 Champions Central Bucks South will be the number 1 seed in the playoffs for the second consecutive year they will see Spring-Ford in the playoffs. The full list of matchups are
16 Spring-Ford at 1 CB South
15 Coatesville at 2 Downingtown West
14 Pennsbury at 3 CB West
13 Ridley at 4 North Penn
12 Quakertown at 5 Haverford
11 Downingtown East at 6 Perkiomen Valley
10 Neshaminy at 7 Owen J Roberts
9 Souderton at 8 Plymouth Whitemarsh
In 5A, After their convincing 35-14 victory over previously unbeaten Strath Haven, Springfield Delco jumps up to the number one seed where they will host Academy Park. A three-way tie between Chester, Pottsgrove and Marple Newtown happened for 7-10 seeds and thanks to their 9-1 record the Chester Clippers take the 7th seed while thanks to the strength of schedule tiebreaker Pottsgrove claims the 8th seed. 15 Oxford at 2 West Chester Rustin
14 Upper Perkiomen at 3 Phoenixville
13 Penncrest at 4 Strath Haven
12 Kennett at 5 Garnet Valley
11 Unionville at 6 Upper Dublin
10 Upper Moreland at 7 Chester will be played on Saturday
9 Marple Newtown at 8 Pottsgrove
In 4A Defending Champion Pope John Paul II is the number 1 seed in the 4-team field which consists of:
4 Lower Moreland at 1 Pope John Paul II
3 Bishop Shanahan at 2 Springfield Twp Montco
In 1 A and 2A we have the District Championship sets matchups set. The winners will advance to a subregional level before competing in the PIAA Playoffs.
In 2A, Bristol will host New Hope Solebury. This will be the second meeting between the teams this season, with Bristol winning the first 42-7 on August 30.
In Class A Morrisville will host Jenkintown. This will also be the second between these two teams with Morrisville defeating Jenkintown 27-14 on October 10.
