Trey Blair metaled four times in the Delco track and field championships.  For the Fords he plays wide receiver, running back and defensive back and this year he could be playing quarterback (go figure, gold medal javelin throwing arm).

He had football offers from the likes of Lehigh, Army, Delaware and more.  Today, he declared he will attend the University of Buffalo via twitter:

We asked Trey about his decision:

PFN: How long have you played football?

Trey: I’ve been playing football since elementary school flag football

PFN: Why did you choose to commit to the Bulls?

Trey: I chose Buffalo because it felt like home when I visited and I felt comfortable around the coaches there.

PFN: Why commit early?

Trey: i committed this early because I knew Buffalo was the spot for me and there was no need for me to wait

PFN: Who was your biggest influence at UB, who recruited you?

Trey: Coach simpson recruited me and showed me a lot of love as well as the safeties coach, coach burrow

PFN: What are they getting in player like you?

Trey: UB is getting the hardest working and most determined safety in the class of 2020. They are getting a coachable athlete that will do what it takes to win games

Trey: i will be studying athletic training

PFN: What do you think is the most exciting thing about the Buffalo program?

Trey: The most exciting thing to me about buffalo is my new coaching staff. They have turned the program around completely and Buffalo is getting ready to make a lot of noise

PFN: Tell everyone out there in Bull Country something they’d never know about you until you told them:

Trey: My best sport growing up was actually baseball until my passion for football grew

PFN: Who is the person who most influenced you in your football career?

Trey: My parents have influenced me the most because they never wanted me playing football because of how dangerous it is. They let me play because they knew how much i enjoyed it. It showed me how they put my happiness before anything.

PFN: What is it you’d like all your high school team mates and fans to know about your decision that you might have a hard time saying in person?

Trey: Buffalo feels like home!
