Spring-Ford Takes Sole Possession of First Place in the PAC with Dominating Win Over Upper Perkiomen

Entering the game 2-0 and facing a winless Upper Perkiomen team, the Spring-Ford Rams didn’t see any letdown, responding with a dominating 55-0 shutout performance. It all started with both Ram’s lines upfront, as the experienced offensive unit created huge running gaps all evening, and the defensive unit, not to be outdone, made a living in the Upper Perkiomen backfield, keeping the Indian’s offensive stagnant.

The Ram’s scoring started early and often, with five different players recording touchdowns. Be it run or pass, Spring-Ford moved the football with ease.

But it wasn’t merely an offensive highlight reel. The defensive unit showed why it’s making a name for itself across the Pioneer Athletic Conference as well. Naphtali Stine showed why he is one of the best defensive backs in the PAC highlighted by his second interception of the year and some huge tackles from loss on the ground from the safety position. Special teams even got in on the action with a blocked punt scoop-and-score in the second quarter.

The Rams showcased their reserves in the second half, highlighting an impressive performance by young sophomore running back Ryan Wilson and a continued dominating defensive effort.

Next week, Spring-Ford looks to move to 4-0 when they square off with Methacton. Upper Perkiomen falls to 0-3 on the season and plays Owen J. Roberts next week. OJR fell to Perkiomen Valley this evening, and with the loss, Spring-Ford now tops the standings in the PAC.
