Hello and welcome back to PFN’s Willie Wants to Know What the Heck happening in District I& XII this week.
We are back after hiatus and Week Zero is in the books so let’s tatk a look at What the heck’s happening in District’s I & XII this week!!
A Milestone for Downingtown West
With their 48-13 over Highland Regional this past Friday at Ocean City NJ Carney Stadium the Whippets picked up the 600th victory in school history.
A successful trip to the beach for Neshaminy
Downingtown West wasn’t the only local team that made the trek down to the Jersey Shore game on Friday the Neshaminy Redskins visited Ocean City’s Carney Stadium and battled the host Ocean City coming away with 21-0 victory in the Battle at the Beach
A Shut Out for Lower Merion
The Bulldogs 34-0 victory over Pottstown on Friday marked the first shut for Lower Merion in at least 5 years.
Clippers Sail To Victory
The Chester Clippers basketball is used to routinely putting big numbers on the scoreboard but Saturday morning the Clippers exploded and scored 80 points beating the visiting Central Lancers 80-0. The 80 points scored is obviously a school record for Chester but surprisingly not a Delaware County record. According to Daily Times reporter Matt Smith the Delco record for most points scored in a game is 84 which was done by Lansdowne (Now Penn Wood) over Swarthmore (Now Strath Haven) all the way back in 1922.
Getting Their first career victories
Congratulations are in store for Garnet Valley’s Eric VanWyk, Radnor’s Kyle Yeiter and Boyertown’s Justin Konnick all of whom picked up their first career victories this past weekend.
Historic night for Boyertown
On Friday the Bears scored 61 in a 61-0 victory Upper Perkiomen. According to the Bears football twitter account that is the fourth time in school history the Bears scored over 60 in a game and was their first shutout since 2010.
Thursday Night Football
What’s better then having Friday Night Lights how bout having both Thursday Night and Friday Night Lights? That’s what we have this week with several teams opting to start their Labor Day weekend earlier by playing Thursday. The games on Thursday are

Big Willie’s Big Time Games
The Bob Brice era begins at West Chester Henderson and what a better way to start then with a match up with a crosstown rival with whom you spent time as an assistant with{ West Chester Henderson at West Chester Rustin Fri 7 pm.
There will be no shortage of athletes on the field in this one and with the early start you can watch this giant showdown and still have time to get a night game: Coatesville at Academy Park Friday 1 pm
The Cougars host a traditional District Six power Little Lions in intriguing inter-district match up: State College at Downingtown East Friday 7 pm
Traditional District 1 6A powers collide: Downingtown West at Perkiomen Valley Friday 7 pm
Back to the Beach: LaSalle at Malvern Prep at Ocean City NJ Carey Stadium. Friday 6 pm
Two teams with District title potential battle it out in an early season test: North Penn at Quakertown Friday 7 Pm
