What does your offense need to improve on from last year?
Being a run first football team, we must continue to develop our passing game. Last year we were very proficient throwing the ball, but losing our QB (Bryce McCloskey) to graduation, we seek to fill some huge shoes. We look to a QB battle between Sr. Quinton Early and So. Brayden McCloskey. If we can have one of these two find some of our returning targets to include: Luca Tofani, Nate Miller, Aidan Mull, and Cole Toy, we can keep the offense more balanced this season. In addition, the return of a healthy Jordan DeCarmen (missed but three games in 2019) could be a key factor to our success. Jordan, attempted a return last year, but he was not completely recovered from a wrestling injury from the previous season. In addition, we have two Jr. Offensive Lineman (Gavin Aley and Marlin Jones) that saw quality playing time in 2019, but now need to win starting positions on the Offensive line. This could be the difference in an average season and a fantastic season.
What does your defense need to improve on from last year
Returning Cole Toy at LB is a huge plus for us, but we do lose both Safeties. Losing Sean O’Hara, our leader in the secondary, we look for young talent to step up and make a difference. Losing Senior DT, Evan Miller, is another big hit, but I have challenged Sr. Aidan Mull and Juniors Gavin Aley and Marlin Jones to battle for a spot to solidify the D-Line. We are also searching to fill our Middle Linebacker spot, with someone who is eager to play fast and downhill
