Reflected by a winless season, 2020 wasn’t very kind to the Titusville Rockets. Moving up to the tough 4A division in District 10 and combining it with several COVID struggles made for a difficult season.
“Last year was a tough year for us because of COVID, as it was for everyone,” head coach Bryan Baldwin said. “Because of our geographical area, we were moved into 4A and had a very tough schedule.”
But with all of the adversity came plenty of growth, even if the Rocket’s 2020 record didn’t reflect it. Coach Baldwin is pleased with his group of high-character players focusing on the things they can control.
“We have a very good group of kids that work hard at everything they do, “he explained. “We also have a really good 8th-grade class coming up.”
This season, the Rockets move back to 3A, a division in which coach Baldwin feels his team is better suited.
“We still have a tough schedule with a lot of very talented teams, but it will be nice to get back to some normalcy.”
