Let’s get to know Ethan!
Why do you play football?
I love working hard, and it’s a passion of mine to succeed. I love working hard, and being physical.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
My favorite sports star is Josh Allen. He started off in a very small college with minimum offers, which then turned out to be one of the best NFL quarterbacks. This inspires me to not give up and keep working.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
My favorite play was throwing a touchdown pass for the first play against my rival school.
What was last years season like for you?
It was a very successful season. My team had a very rough schedule, but we never gave up and won lots of games. Our record was 11-2. Everyone got along, and it was overall just a fun season.
What are your goals for this coming season?
My goals for this upcoming season is to win the District 10 Championship. I want to have a winning record this year. I made 2nd Team All-Region last year, but I’m working to get to 1st Team All-Region this year. I am also hoping to pass for at least 2,000 yards this season.
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
It has to be Danny Odem. He moved to Florida and is now a 4 star athlete with 51 offers.
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
My favorite game was my regular season game against Hickory. It was a back and forth game that came down to the last second.
Describe what the perfect teammate is
The perfect teammate is someone who listens, doesn’t mess around at practices, helps people when they are messing up or not understanding, and definitely being a leader. They set good examples for other people.
Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community
Football is good for the community because it brings everyone together to watch the kids in your town compete and show how much heart they have.
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
I’ve always wanted to hurdle someone.
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
Definitely has to be my dad. He works hard everyday to keep me happy. He spends his hard earned money on me and my family. He has a good job. So the person I look up to the most is my father.
What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?
My favorite practice drill is routes on air. It helps me get a good connection with my receivers. And my least favorite practice drill is pushing the sled.
Preseason Two a Days are:
Fun, my coach brings a speaker out on the field. Everyone is getting after each other, and the environment is amazing.
Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?
It’d have to be my cousins. They both play sports and always come to support me. I always practice with them and play with them to make them better.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
I like to fish. It is very relaxing and it gets my mind off of sports.
What is your favorite play to run?
My favorite play to run is sprint out or play action because I like to throw on the run. But out of all plays, the best play is the QB Kneel at the end of every game.
is a hot dog a sandwich? If not, then why?
A hotdog is definitely a sandwich.

Best thing you ever got from a teammate? Why?
One of my teammates gave me a towel, gloves, and arm sleeves. He said I needed to look better on the field.

What is your favorite vacation destination?
I’ve always gone Myrtle Beach or Outer Banks.
Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?
I think it was a Browns preseason game. But I’m a Steelers fan.
