Let’s get to know Brett!

Why do you play football?

My dad played for Penn State and going to the games made me fall in love with the sport.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

I’ve always liked Saquon Barkley because of his electric play style and I’ve gotten to watch him play since college.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

My favorite play would be against when I scored against Lakeview in the District 10 Championship game to put us ahead and secure our first title since 1996

What was last years season like for you?

It was an exciting season with a lot of our players returning, and I was happy with how well we did in our new region.

What are your goals for this coming season?

I hope to make it back into the playoffs and build upon our success from last year.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

Nick Solderich

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

I went to a Penn State game to celebrate the 1994 undefeated season with my family and it was great to see my dad reunite with all his former teammates.

Describe what the perfect teammate is

Someone who can encourage, lead, take criticism, and work harder than anyone else on the team.

Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community

Football unites our town like I’ve never seen before. Everyone comes out, shows their support, and without it I don’t think we’d have as strong or as supportive of a community.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Play with my brother one last time.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

I want to be able to achieve all the things my dad was able to achieve in his college career because he was the person who got me into football and is always pushing me to become better every day.

What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?

Favorite would be the tackling dummy and the least favorite would be all the gassers.

Preseason Two a Days are:

The best

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

My brother is by far my biggest supporter, he’d do anything for me. He’s always willing to work with me and supports me in anything I do.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

I love going fishing, it’s just so peaceful and allows me to just relax and have some fun.

What is your favorite play to run?

Any play where I get to run the ball

is a hot dog a sandwich? If not, then why?

No, it falls into its own category with the bread still being attached. Sandwiches have to have two distinctly separate pieces of bread.

Music of choice:

Country

Best thing you ever got from a teammate? Why?

Pancake block to open the gap; runs go nowhere without a great offensive line.

Best Pizza topping?

Pepperoni

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Oak Island, NC

Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?

Penn State v. Akron in Beaver Stadium
