Let’s get to know Preston:
Why do you play football?
I play because it challenges me physically and mentally. It pushes me to be my best and teaches me discipline, teamwork, and resilience.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
My favorite star is Julio Jones. I loved watching him when I was a kid, and he would make crazy catches
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
There was 3 seconds left on the clock at our own 45-yard line, and we ran a Hail Mary. The ball was underthrown to about the 10-yard line, and there were two guys guarding me. I came down with it, getting tackled, and lateraled it to my teammate, who walked in and scored. It made it on hudl’s top 5 plays.
What was last years season like for you?
Last season was a big step forward for me. I grew a lot in understanding the game, especially reading defenses and finding ways to get open. I became more confident and consistent.
What are your goals for this coming season?
My goal is to be a leader my teammates can count on, and show college coaches I can compete at the next level.
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
The best player I’ve lined up against was Kyshawn Robinson, a 3-star from Westinghouse with a bunch of D1 offers.
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
My favorite game to watch was mine that I played in, in youth football where we won the “Super Bowl”
Describe what the perfect teammate is
The perfect teammate is someone who is selfless, hardworking, and always supports their teammates.
Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community
Football is great for a community because it brings people together and gives them something to all get behind.
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
One thing I’d love to do in football that may never happen is score a game-winning touchdown in a championship game
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
My dad is. He pushes me to be my best, holds me accountable, and always supports me no matter what
What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?
My favorite drill is It’s where two WRs line up with a DB and a safety, and the QB throws a screen to one of the receivers. The other receiver has to block, and it all happens in a tight 10-yard space. My least favorite is doing gassers at the end of practice.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?
My whole family supports me a ton, but outside of them, I’d say my biggest fan is Trudi Stevens
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
my go to activity is hanging out with friends or going out fishing
What is your favorite play to run?
My favorite play to run is a goal line fade to me.
Music of choice:
I usually listen to country music during the warmer weather days, like now.
Best thing you ever got from a teammate? Why?
The best thing I’ve ever gotten from a teammate was advice during the game to keep on pushing.
Best Pizza topping?
Pepperoni
What is your favorite vacation destination?
My favorite vacation destination is the beach.
Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?
The earliest game I remember was the Steelers vs. Broncos in the divisional round of the playoffs
