Erie Falls Apart in Ohio

Erie Royals traveled to Mentor, Ohio for a Saturday afternoon contest against Lake Catholic. The Cougars were coming off a 1-9 2021 season and had a 1-2 record on the young season. Finally getting a win last week against Akron Buchtel.

Lake Catholic opened with two touchdowns in the first quarter, and two in the second. The third quarter saw Erie breakthrough onto the scoreboard with an Akil Dixon touchdown run from about 60 yards. However, it wasn’t enough to turn the tide. Lake Catholic tacked on two more scores to win comfortably, 42-6.
