What does your offense need to improve on from last year? |
We were a run dominant team on Offense last season. Joe Kerbacher has been improving steadily in the off season. He is a dual threat that gives us another dimension. We return a wealth of talent at the skill Positions (Brandon, Gaycheck, Cruz, Caiazzo, Cole, Russell, and transfer James Robinson). We lost 5 Senior Offensive Linemen. We feel confident with the kids we have to replace them. We stress being fundamentally sound and taking care of the football. We want to be more balanced this year. |
What does your defense need to improve on from last year |
Defensively we want to improve our tackling. It was an Achilles heal for us last season. We have an experienced core returning in our secondary. Gunkle was the 3rd leading tackler last year at ILB. Sam Nelson is an upcoming Jr. NG who will anchor the DL. We want to play fundamentally sound. Our kids are getting more comfortable with the scheme heading into our second season. |
What are your overall thoughts on this years team? |
We have a good nucleus of senior leadership. Our kids did an exceptional job in the weight room during the off season. We are looking to replace some key players on both sides of the line. The quicker they gel up front, the tougher we will be. We are looking for consistency. |
