Why do you play football?

I’ve been playing football since I was five years old and truly fell in love with playing it. There isn’t a day I don’t look forward to being out on the field. Also, the feeling of representing my school and community has been a big motivating factor for me.

What has been your best memory from football so far?

I’d definitely say the 2018 Frost Bowl victory against our rival Hamburg. It was an awesome win heading into the playoffs.

Who is your favorite pro athlete and why?

My favorite pro athlete is Mike Trout. He’s always kept a level head, worked hard, and performed… that’s something I always have tried to do.

Who is your biggest fan and why?

My biggest fans are my parents. Throughout my entire career thus far, they’ve been there at every game and have been beyond supportive of me in whatever I do.

Is there any specific person you look up to and use as a role model?

My high school English teacher Mrs. Barrett. As an aspiring teacher and coach, I’m extremely fortunate to have such a great person who cares a lot about me and always offers support and guidance along the way!

What is your desired major in college?

I’d like to major in Secondary Education.

Coming off a year with COVID struggles, what do you think this year will be like?

I think this year will be a lot better. Our school hired some great new coaches in Bruce Harbach and Matt Lytle among others that are helping get the program on the right path. I also think having a full summer to prepare will be huge. Last year, being a transfer from Running Back to Quarterback was an even bigger transition without 7 on 7s and our normal workouts.

Favorite play to run?

Sprint out pass.

What is your personal goal for this season?

I want to throw for 1,000 yards and bring the team back to the playoffs.

Favorite pre-game meal?

Nothing. I try not to eat anything before games to avoid being sluggish.

Sports movie?

Sandlot; all-time classic.

Sport you’d love to play but can’t?

Throwing for track and field.

Most embarrassing sports moment?

Falling trying to steal second base and breaking my collarbone.

What are you looking forward to most this year?

Leading my team out onto the field in front of a packed stadium.

Favorite activities?

I like to travel, fish, and try food.
