In a game that saw Williams Valley record only 17 total yards and not a single first down in the first half, their only score coming after a kickoff return by Logan Williard to the Bulldogs 3 yard line, setting up the score from Alex Achenbach, trailing 21 to 7 at the half, the Vikings showed they never give up. The only other bright spot in that first half for the Vikings was when Jake Herman, intercepted a pass from Bulldogs quarterback Jonas McGrath in the end zone from about 11 yards out, that stopped an 11 play drive that started at the Bulldogs 38 yard line following the opening kickoff.  In the second half, the story was much different as the Vikings scored on their next 3 possessions, the first being when quarterback Bryce Herb who ended up with 3 passing touchdowns for the game, connected with Jake Herman for a 24 yard touchdown. Herb also connected with Herman once again later in the 3rd quarter, for a 36 yard touchdown pass that would tie the game once again, this time at 28. On the play, Bryce overtook his father for the most passing yards in program history. As we have heard the term many times before, this game was definitely ” A Tale of Two Halfs ” ! Shown below is the extended game highlights video, as well as game stats provided by 570Football at PaFootballNews You Tube Channel.
