An exciting display of incredible athletes across District XI came together to play in the 2nd Annual Colonial-Schuylkill All-Star Game. The game was hosted by Palmerton and ended with a Colonial League victory of 14-12.

The game’s first score came from Northern Lehigh’s Nick Frame as he ran 61 yards for the score. The extra point was good from Southern Lehigh’s Ayden Scharper, which brought the Colonial League an early lead in the first two minutes of play. Team Schuylkill was quick to return the favor with Pine Grove’s Mason Kroh hitting Williams Valley’s Brady Evans with a 79-yard touchdown pass. The two-point conversion was no good, but Schuylkill was now on the board. Team Schuylkill was not finished with their first-half scoring. Blue Mountain’s Ian Donohue got right to work on the defensive line, having multiple tackles for loss, giving his team possession once again.  North Schuylkill’s Jared Tinari then went to work, pushing the ball downfield. He finished off his efforts with a 1-yard score, but Schuylkill could not convert on another two-point attempt. The second quarter involved strong defensive action from both teams, ultimately resulting in no score from either side. The score heading into the locker rooms was Schuylkill on top, 12-7.

The rest of this contest continued right where it left off. Neither team scored until around the 6-minute mark in the 3rd. Southern Lehigh’s Tyler Rizzuto pulled in a 40-yard pass from Bangor’s Eric Striba and Scharper completed the extra point. Colonial headed into the fourth quarter with a 14-12 lead. Colonial held off Schuylkill with some key stops from Palisades’ Kai Stianson and other members of this strong squad. The final score of the 2nd Annual Colonial-Schuylkill All-Star Game was Colonial 14 Schuylkill 12.
